OK. I know is assumed that everyone here listens to punk rock, or at least tries to, but what else are you guys interested in?

Personally, I love classic rock. Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, you guys know, all the good old psychedelic music. Just kidding, that's not all. Basically, good old rock and roll. It's too bad that not many bands are making music that could be accurately bined with The Rolling Stones.

Well, I was just wondering.

I, mainly, listen to punk and a few ska bands. Some bands I like are: Minor Threat, Aus Rotten, Rancid, Subhumans, The Real McKenzies, Crass, The Living End, Le Shok, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Broskys Revolt, The Last Priority, The Unseen, US Bombs, The Stitches, A Global Threat and a lot more stuff like that.

Those are all bands that have worked their way into my regular listing rotation, but being a primarily (don't laugh) blues guitar player, I find punk lyrically stimulating, but "lacking" in the jam-along-with-your-favorite-song quality department.

yes, i agree, some bands do " lack" that but other punk bands like Operation Ivy are great for that kind of stuff.

Yeah. Op. Ivy is cool for shaping up my ska chops. Right now I'm playing lead in a metal band so I've been getting back to why I picked up the guitar: shreading.

It's fun. . .but not exactly what I want to d musicly. I'm also involved in a sort-of phycobilly band type thing and a band that makes music that could be called "clasic rock"

I love pretty much all kinds of music but I listen to more punk and reggae that anything else. Lately I have been stuck on Marley, Bouncing Souls, Ramones, Bad Religion, Bad Astronaught, The toy Dolls Dickies and Steel Pulse. But Im sure next week that will change again.

Thats cool. I know all those bands, exept Bad Astronaught, what kind of music is that? Could you recomend something by them? Thanks in advance.

That's cool. I didn't like country till I had to study it for this class. I still have no particular fondness for it, but if you listen to a lot of classic rock, i.e., Lynerd Skynerd, C. S. N. Y., lots of bands, and they have a very "blue grass" feel to them.

As for "pop", well, lets just say I have very strong feelings on this topic. If anyone would like do discuss it, P.M. me or something.

i like a lot of ska; bim skala bim, bad manners, the selecter, the specials, let's go bowling.

Im gonna go ahead and respond to the topic even though we are sort of off it.. okay I like wide varay of music too, I guess mostly Indie, punk, aand 80's. Preferably 80's British. I like The Clash, The Living End, Longfellow, some mxpx, Good Riddance, Ramones, sex pistols, alkaline trio, op Ivy, Vandals, umm I dont know.. I cant think! :confused: hm so yea... the end!

i listen to mainly punk and ska.. a couple bands outside that perk my interest, but not many genre's... currently in rotation in my player are the rx bandits, mad caddies, dhc, suicide machines, and millencolin..
