New School vs. Old School

Well, I listen to alot of punk music. I listen to alot of "old school" and "new school". It's just I like a little bit of variety in my music that I listen too. I don't tell people I'm punk because really I'm not. The only people that are "punk" would be the ones back in the eighties. They started it, they lived it, they felt it. They set the standard for the modern day punk. It seems now that it's become a trend, and it's really music. I don't get these people that always say this band started it. I really don't care who started it, all I know is it's music. And it changes alot. I like alot of new school shit too though. I don't think thats a bad thing, I don't care for much of the blink shit or whatever. I'm talking stuff like Bleak Anthem. But it's good music. I love old school too. I just wish that people would see that there is actually a punk movement to where you don't have to be restricted to just "old school". I don't give a fuck if people make fun of me cause I like New School. Really, I think its music. When I say New School, I think Old Blink 182, Old Green Day, old unwritten law. Really we shouldn't hate these people that get big. I mean they've worked so hard to get where they're at. They tried helping the punk music scene. At least they got people into that kind of music. I love what they did. But now its up to other bands to help the scene out more. I love old school too. I love The Business, Adolescents, Descendants, Dead Kennedys, Model Citizen, ect. ect. I could go on for hours of naming bands cause they'res just so much that I love cause I don't limit myself. Really we shouldnt hate people for if they listen to new school. Just see that as a difference. I used to limit myself to old school but then I decided I want more more punk!!! I needed more its like an addiction.
