Can I say something? I like OC. I used to hate OC when I grew up there (too perfect, too suburban, too materialistic, etc.) But now living in L.A., I appreciate OC. It seems sometimes like L.A. is just downright hostile...OC is more mellow (granted, certain areas are more dangerous than others), and peoole in OC will listen to what you have to say, think about it, and reply in the spirit of discussion (this site is my proof.)

OC=OK Thoughts? Comments?

i hear ya...i've lived in O.C. all my life with the exception of maybe 5yrs when i lived in Long Beach but i was just a kid. i don't think i could live any place else but O.C. LA just seems so crowded. i don't even like going to shows out there.

why don't you just move back to OC??

I most deffinately agree with you. I used to HATE Orange County ,and bitch about it all the time, all the fake little teenybop bitches, the overcrowdedness, and pretty much anything else you could think of that sucks about it. I wanted nothing more than to get the hell out. THEN, due to extenuating circumstances, I moved to bumfuck Missouri, I never appreciated this place so much in my life. It' s so nice to live in a place where the majority of the population has a full set of teeth and you never hear someone utter the word "y'all," and where you don't have to listen to white trash pieces of shit living off the government talk about them "damn niggers" all the time. Yes yes, Thank God for Orange County!

I was in Rosarito, in this bar, a few mexicans from OC were living down there for the summer, i made it known i was from here, and we owned that fuckin bar!!!

yeah Discharge is my favorite punk band...that's actually where i got my And Children name from from their song and children...well they're playing with Exploited and Addicts this Sat. at the Orange Pavilion in San Bernardino. You can buy tickets at ticket master if they're still available cos i heard it was sold out.
If your into Exploited they're playing at the Galaxy on Sun. 21.

I'm going on the 20th, and I really wanted to go to the Knitting Factory show too. Just like you and children, I'm not going for Exploited. I'm mainly going for Discharge and The Adicts. I'm excited to see who the special guests will be too. If anyone wants to go on the 19th let me know, and I'll try to make it too. That show will be better. Up close and personal with Discharge. Can't beat it. It's only like $12 too i think.

Never been there. I'm almost positive no bar. I'm pretty sure it's an outdoor venue. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah we'll see though who knows. I probably won't be drinking. I'll end up dehydrated and throwing up. The pit wears you out, and by drinking before it makes it that much worse.

I don't know if they have a bar, but I went there a long time ago to see The Subhumans and Narcoleptic Youth at the Orange Pavillion in San Bernadino. It was indoors too, but I think they had beer, but I was too young to buy it at the time so I don't remember. The place was huge. I think there was 6,000 people there. there was almost a riot when they tried to stop the show when Subhumans were playing. It was crazy.

Oh shit!! That makes it so much better! I seriously thought it was outdoors. I don't know why I just figured I guess. Well that alone makes it better. The beer is just an added bonus.

the knitting factory has a really small stage. when Bullets N' Octane played there their bass amp fell off and after half an hour of fidgeting they had to play with no bass.

I think they will probably have wristbands and beer vendors at least. You guys should come up to H'wood friday night. My ticket was 14.88 total online with a credit card. I'd really like to see the Adicts again (saw them years ago) and i wouldn't mind seeing the Exploited too but it's too far a drive and too expensive. I'm going to go see some 3D films (see my review of the 3D film fest under show reviews) and a brand new print of Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes" in Santa Monica on sat. nite.

14.88 that's fucking cheap!! I want to go to that show, but I doubt I will. We'll see. I tried to get Avis to go with me but he won't. So I don't know.

Well, if you do make it, send me a smessage about what you look like or will be wearing and maybe we can meet in person there if you want. Is that show the next day during the day? Because if you drive to Hollywood you'll be halfway there.

The doors open at 7 @ the show the next day. How am I halfway to San Bernadino from Hollywood though? I live in Anaheim. I don't understand that. It is tomorrow though, so I most likely won't be going. ::mumbles obscenities:: If I do I will let you know.

Well, my geography is not always 100%. I guess you would take the 57 to Pomona and then go east to San Bernardino. The traffic from L.A. to San B. is probably quite a bit lighter once you get out of L.A. than the traffic from Anaheim to L.A. would be. I guess I kind of put L.A. in the middle of the two in my mind when it really isn't.

One of you guys be sure to do a show review about that Orange pavilion thing under the show reviews, ok? i am grounded from that one due to lack of funds. Right now, I am trying to figure out some way to make it so that I don't have to go back to work on monday, or ever.

I hate it so much it's ruining my weekend. Then I go to work in a foul mood and I get, "Is something the matter?"
Maybe I should just...disappear. but evertime I quit a job and just wing it (and I've done it plenty of times) i jsut end up up shit creek.
Well, at least I don't have to work tomorrow. Have a great time at the show, and drive carefully! peace.
