Drain Bramaged 4-16-04

Split Decision was fucking awesome... I have to see more of their shows. Great. Fucking. Shit. Period. Funny thing I noticed, guitarist has been listening to way too much of NOFX's "I Heard They Suck Live". How do I know this? He tried to pull a joke from it... Didn't go over well. "I fucked up that time. Did you guys hear that? I really fucked up that time" I asked what part, and they didn't respond... oh well.

The Drain and Bramaged were kind of lacking, and from what my girlfriend said, it seemed that John and Scottch were in some kind of argument, because she saw John bump into Scottch and start cursing him out. I noticed he was saying "Fuckup" with the mike away from his mouth. Lot of tension there, so they weren't at their best... not to mention... Iggy was cut off... fucking PISSED me OFF. Not Scottch's fault though...

Sidekick was okay, but it just wasn't enough energy... the drummer relied more on the bass drum, and wasn't jamming enough in my opinion... the bassist was only doing rudimentary stuff, and it kinda was a let down from the bassplayers before them. The lead singer was okay, not too great... but both of them were reeeeaaaally stiff... The guitarist with the white fucking shorts, he fucking ripped, and had all the energy in the band and was letting it loose like a barrage of cannonballs in all directions. The cover of Blitzkrieg BOP was an error of bad timing. Drain Bramaged had a part of the song in their set, so it kind of ruined it. All I ask of these guys... mooore energy, harder playing, better bass riffs, and some more heart into that singing. scream into the mike if you have to.

One thing that was very unwelcome that night was the appearance of two people I hate. Stephan Frost, and I think it was John Davis... those fucks deserve to be shot for reasons kept aside. I HATE them... plain and simple. If there was a slam pit, and they were in there, I would have knocked them on their asses, then walked out and laughed when they came out bloody. Fucking dicks...

if it werent for the constant electrocuting i would have been in the mic more.
there was a serious ground problem with the mics .

db i liked no matter what. it was my first time seeing them live, and i guess you could say i had my db cherry popped...or bramaged. i DID notice that little quarrel between scottch and john. i only caught a glimpse of it because i was too busy playing Jurassic Park. oh, and Jim Bean had this HUGE BOOGER LOOGEY SHNOT THING OOOZING DOWN HIS NOSE! i was right behind him when i saw this, and wanted to get the fuck back into my jurassic park house before that loogey went flying onto me.
it disappointed me how i was the only one who knew the words for Hangover, and how i was the only one who shouted upon...uh...request. eh. whatever. and hey, even with the shocky mic, i stuck my mouth onto that thing and sang with our dear old Scottch and recieved me an electrical tolchock to the rot.

as for Sidekick. i do believe they weren't half bad. i would've expected energy, even with the shocky microphones. but they put on a good show, nonetheless. i must give them a bravo.

i also noticed that almost every band dedicated at least one song to us ocpunks. but that's just what i noticed. woo.

and of course, Dead 89. they were pretty good as well. same db lineup with a different singer and an extra guitarist thrown into the mix. i loved the lyrics, loved the energy, loved lots of it. they put on quite a show. sucks that there wasn't much crowd by then. but hey, there wasn't much of a crowd to begin with. i hoped for a pit, but knew that hoping for one wasn't going to stop the fact that it's just a pizza parlor.

and bob, which ones were frost and davis? cause, i honestly dont know either of them.

They were pretty much two guys who didn't fit in that spent most of their time outside. One had a bowl cut and glasses darker hair than the other, but still brown, and was wearing those stupid ass sweat bands on his wrists... and the other one was kinda chunky, shitty haircut, brown hair, looks like a jock both were wearing white shirts and blue jeans.

As for the show..it was okay I suppose, it would have been better if more people were there, it needed more energy but hey, what can ya do?

I didn't like Sidekick too much, no offense but just a little too poppy for my taste.


Drainbramaged did well, it was fucking hillarious when that one guy was trying to balance himself on "the golden keg" and landed flat on his ass. What a douche. Haha..good times :cool:

Yeah we were a bit off that night but I thought we played alright tho, oh well....the funny thing is that when me and John were arguing it was all part of the show. We love to piss each other off it make us play better most of the time (not the case this eveing) and if were lucky we might actually get in a real fight thus producing BLOOD which is always a bonus in my book. I know I'm weird, duh! GG Allin lives!!! within each performance what can I do.

Avis - by now I am sure you are familar with our sence of humor and mod-O like we really give a shit what anyone thinks. If we did we would have givin up years ago intsted of making the 1st 2nd or 3rd cd, but hopefully people do like what we do and we will just do better next time.
