Are they real Docs or Guess made Docs 1990 was not a good year for Doc Martens once Guess bought them out.

They say made in England. How else can you tell? They were my sister-out-laws.

Its hard to tell but if they were purchased after 1990 they are Guess. I havent bought Docs since 1986.

I've bought them after 90 but they were used. Is there a different tag or something? How can you tell? This is a fact I didn't know. I know mine say Made In England, so I think I'm ok.

They all say made in England at least for a few years after guess bought them, since they had a bunch already made. There is a way to tell I just cant remember. Sorry maybe Scotch or Shortstack know?
