Yeah, he was sick from the time we got home from the show 'til the end of the weekend, and even i couldn't get his attention a lot of the time (even got stood up). He's ok now, but his job is being a real nightmare and it's like he works and sleeps, and tries to finish a thing at home that can't be dropped, when he gets a minute here or there. He took time to post videos, and that's all he's had in him. Busy fucker, that Bob.

I'll do that chick thing you guys hate so much and nag him for ya, Mr. 'Rab. That is, if i hear from him before you do.

Eggy, what sounds like a good spot? We'll be there REALLY early, so we can get anything. The wall to the left of the stage is closest, and best if he wants to be spit on by the singers. Or the end of the bar. All the other seated spots are behind the "dance" floor.

The Show sold out almost before the doors opened, Thanx!!!!!! it was a major success!!!!!!!!!!!

The bands all rocked, the pit was non stop from begining to end with its fair share of numbskulls trying their hardest to ruin a good evening.........

Special thanx to Greg Coleman of Fitzgeralds for opening his doors again for the cause.


Extra Special thanx to Underground Windows Bob, Steve and Ms Butterknife for documenting the event, and All The Bands who without a second thought stepped up to play.

Mike Conley was/is one of Punk Rocks greatest front men, he picked up where Todd Sampson left off almost 30 years ago, Todd has picked back up where Mike left off and is doing a great job representing for MIA. Not only was Mike a great singer, but he was a great husband and daddy and all of this was for his family.

Skins have been an issue for Fitzgerald's, huh? (shit goes down every time i go there, anyway). But they aren't the only ones who start drama there. I'm just thankful that the real hairy shit didn't happen til the show was done, and no ambulances were needed. Some kids just never grown up...

The rest of it was pretty damned cool, and Bob even edited his first viddy already!

Scotty - i didn't know you were there!!! Next time come visit us camera folks, cuz we don't get to carouse like everyone else, and hellos are very much appreciated. Wish we coulda done your show too. Maybe this next one. I want you to sing hb to me before i die.

Well you didn't spend much time at that table, and that's a very good sign. More viddy to come, as soon as Bob's world can slow down a bit. (haha, as if THAT'll ever happen).

Hey, i got one of those cd's that were hanging around. It was a tear-jerker to listen to it first time around. I have a lot of memories i'm still pulling up since the amnesia crap in '04, and Mike's passing caused enough of an upsurge in the old school scene that it caused a lot of old memories of MIA and other great early memories to come flooding forward, ESPECIALLY when Jello sang at HOB and Detroit Bar.

I didn't know Mike as a friend, but he made a big dent in my reality decades ago, and i hope his family is feeling the love. Looking forward to the 3rd annual benefit. Hopefully it will be the only memorial of the year. Ya know what i mean?
