When Uniform Choice were first starting it was just Pat Dubar and Pat Dison the OG drummer, they came up to Ichabods in Fullerton to see Love Canal and hit me up to quit LC and start UC with them, I declined and the rest is history, the original version of the band with Dave Mellow and Vic were a great band. Last time I seen Dubar was about 15-20 years ago in a Carls jr in Costa Mesa, I didnt even recognise him as his hair was down passed his ass........
I saw Dave Mellow at the end of last Aug. His hair is still long too. He looks the same as he did 10 or more years ago.
So this isn't at fenders but I just came across this. Chi Pig (SNFU) interview. Looks like he lost all of his teeth. Must be that good free dental program they have over in Canada. But anyway he talks about loosing everything and being homeless.

I think this is the part where he talks about being homeless and on crack

Guess I missed one Agression "Intense Energy" live in 1985 at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach, Ca with the original peak line-up: Mark Hickey(R.I.P.), Henry Knowles(R.I.P.), Mark Aber and Big Bob Clark.

I don't think I missed many show's at Fender's. So many good memories. I remember seeing The Ramone's in 85 and I am pretty sure that night they played with The Vandal's or it was the next night some place in San Diego.
I do have a scar on the top of my head from D.I @ Fender's in 84 or 85. These thing's are a bit cloudy sometimes.......... I also remembering hitchhiking back to Redondo after alot of show's.

Fenders was a weird time for alot of us, I think. I was atmost of those shows, too, but spent too much time "down the hall, and in the bar" area... Odd, but true, much of the yucky stuff I saw at Fenders led to my move to LA, and sabatical from the punk scene.

I conur. Not too long after I did a string of shows there--my oldest was born. Thus came my sabbatical from the "Dark Years" to family guy. Fenders, was more of a "Boxing Ring" actually. I had to hang from the big wooden beam overhead, and front for CW from the air! (true story)
Even the S.O.S. security guys couldn't cope with the pit mayhem. But, they still did the "Chicken Fights" stacked three people high--"Mohawks vs. Skins" in the pit. I do miss watching those. It was the little guys up top the shoulders of two bigger fellas holding him up that was fun to watch.
The Suicidals vs. LADS days.
ah yes, I remember it well.

Yeah, It did get crazy there. I remember alot of times there were two separate pit's one for the skins and one for anyone else. I remember a big Samoan security guard named Filo carried me out of the pit and set me along the back wall. It seems that every time I was almost killed in the pit someone came along and saved my dumb ass. The girls bathroom was like a woman's prison bathroom.... a fight every night. I am lucky to be alive. I was such a lady.........
